Support and Grants
At Welton Town Lands Trust, our journey is rooted in a long-standing tradition. Established centuries ago, our mission continues to evolve as we strive to support our community in today’s modern society.
We are only able to support residents of Welton, Northamptonshire, who have lived in the village for a minimum of two years. This is due to the small revenue available for distribution.
December Distribution
A small grant to assist those residents of the village that are in need of support, irrespective of age. The grants are issued in December each year and can be applied for every year.
To be eligible to apply individuals must reside in Welton, Northamptonshire and have lived in the village for a minimum of 2 years.
Educational Grants
Designed to support students in higher education, typically under the age of 25 with costs associated directly with study. (Mature students will be considered on an individual basis.
To be eligible to apply, a students permanent address must be in Welton, Northamptonshire and the students must have lived in the village for a minimum of 2 years.
Goodwill Support Payments
The Trust will issue Goodwill Support Payments at any time during the year, to support individuals or families in need. Goodwill Support Payments are discretionary and subject to approval by the Trustees. No application is guaranteed.
To be eligible to apply individuals must reside in Welton, Northamptonshire and have lived in the village for a minimum of 2 years.
Support for the local community
Each year, the Trust distributes its income into three equal parts to benefit the community of Welton, Northamptonshire:
One third is reserved for the December Distribution and Goodwill Support Payments, where direct grants are given to the deserving in the village
One third is donated directly to St Martins Church to assist with maintenance and upkeep of this important and historic building.
One third is reserved for the Educational needs of the village and this is split two ways:
50% is donated directly to Welton CoE Academy School to support pupils in need or equipment
50% is reserved for the Educational Grants that are issued in March each year
